The "Conditions" TV series has a unique and intriguing history that we would like to share with the public.

Originally conceived as "Brain Damage" by C B, a multifaceted personality and local theatre star known for his roles as an actor, director, producer, and writer, "Conditions" was envisioned as a 13-part series for mainstream television. The series was co-authored by C B and M M, a locally published author. Additional contributions to the writing came from B, M and R.

What makes "Conditions" particularly exceptional is that it was brought to life by a diverse team, composed of both amateurs and seasoned professionals, without the backing of a major production company. This ambitious endeavour aimed to challenge the norms of television production.

C B, who played a pivotal role in orchestrating the series, oversaw the project's pre-production and principal photography at The Convent. His versatile skillset was credited to be  fully encompassed with direction, creative vision, editing, and sound.

During the production phase, C B collaborated and asked for the voluntary services of A M and R T.  C B made it clear from the outset to all that he would instigate a points based system and there was no real money involved to produce. This was a zero to Micro Budget Production initially apart from a donation from a charity to C B original CIC company. It is one of the reasons why there have been huge challenges. All funds involved were personally donated by the Producers and Directors of the Company. A M, a local professional, contributed her skills in negotiations, talent acquisition, location scouting, and served as an assistant director, she had worked in the world of large Hollywood films prior. R T, a local small businessman, utilized his resources for production, line production, talent management, and locations and this was his first experience of producing.

S S, a cinematographer, was asked to join and he agreed to be on board with C B, A M, and R T to manage equipment and maintain creative control over production quality. His expertise spanned cinematography, editing, sound, and the creative aspects of pre-production and principal photography. C K S, another local businessman, brought his skills as a producer and accountant to the project, having worked in mainstream motion pictures in both accounting and production. His expertise covered accountancy, budgeting, treatments, and negotiations.

Together, they all founded The Cotswold Production Company Limited (TCPCL) in pursuit of SEIS/EIS funding. This scheme had been instrumental in launching many small film projects, but we encountered unfortunate timing when we applied for HMRC assistance. A recent ruling by HMRC, prompted by past abuses, made the funding process considerably more challenging.

Despite facing this setback, we successfully obtained SEIS status from HMRC, amounting to £20,000. While this was a significant achievement, it was far from the amount required to secure financing from companies like Red Rock Entertainment or similar entities.

Each director personally invested substantial sums of money by this point, and additional funding was provided by actors and private investors. Countless hours and resources were dedicated to the project.

However, the project faced a series of challenges. Some directors decided to pursue other ventures, and those without post-production expertise found it difficult to continue the project without adequate support and financial resources. The outbreak of the pandemic further complicated matters, making it virtually impossible to secure further investment and leaving the project in an unfinished state. By this point, many of us had our own businesses, homes, and families to care for, causing "Conditions" to take a backseat.

The extensive effort put into pre-production and principal photography was jeopardised by the complex journey of post-production, which could not commence without adequate funding. Common production issues, such as DIT, scenes requiring reshooting, missing footage, and sound-related challenges, were compounded by the fragmentation of footage shared among various parties.

The government provided some support, but TCPCL had not been in operation for a sufficient duration to qualify for assistance. While there was an opportunity to secure funding by proving that we had worked from The Convent, we were not permitted to proceed with this application as others wanted personal financial recompense that we did not have to give.

Desperate for funds, TCPCL applied for a government-backed bounce back loan of £3,750.This was used to pay the accountant in part and compensate one of the directors for some editing work. However, this investment did not yield substantial progress, and we remained at an impasse. The loan was Ignored by some and R T  repaid over time, largely from the funds allocated for that purpose.

Unfortunately, the project now faces a critical juncture. The footage and sound for "Conditions" are potentially in the possession of S S and C B.

R T and C K S lack access to the footage and do not possess the skills needed for editing or restoring the damaged sound. R T has made repeated attempts to continue working on the series at a slower pace, but these efforts have not thus far elicited a response.

The intellectual property (IP) for "Conditions" is legally owned by TCPCL, a company with numerous documentation to support this and submitted with a legal firm and Companies House in which all mentioned were  shareholders. The bounce-back loan had been exhausted, resulting in a debt within TCPCL's bank account. R T had applied for a six-month extension and used his own funds to prevent the loan from defaulting for the time being and all content being owned by The Crown

R T has ensured that his personal funds will be used to repay the company's debt and has been forced to take full control legally of the Company backed by legal precedent, keeping TCPCL afloat and active and stopping the whole project from being stopped by HMRC. The production company is still fully committed to working on the project and understands that collaboration is essential to bring it to fruition. No cease and desist orders have been made or any damages claims as it is the intention of the company for this project to be fulfilled and no one to be scapegoated or defamed. It is in the interest of all that the project is fulfilled and everyone is recompensed as originally intended by no least in recognition and or financial recompense.

This statement is backed up with a plethora of written statements and emails and any contradiction to this public statement is false and can be met with a legal challenge.

The journey of "Conditions" has been a challenging one, but the commitment of some of those involved remains unwavering. The creative spirit of the project endures, and the Company has been dedicated to finding a way to complete it.

We appreciate the support and interest of the public and all the wonderful people who took part, who may not know the exact issues for the delay and look forward to sharing further updates on the project's progress. Your continued interest and support mean the world to us, and we are committed to realizing the vision of "Conditions" in the future, should the original parties wish to push for its completion, as resources are larger today and with the correct enthusiasm and cooperation this project could easily be finished and realised. R T is willing to put a sizable fund into the pot IF the original directors and producers were interested in actually finishing the project. IT CAN ONLY EVER BE A TEAM EFFORT.
